As temperatures rise above 45°C, the scorching heat has become life-threatening for stray, sick, and injured animals — especially cows.
Every day, hundreds of Gaumatas (mother cows) — suffering from severe dehydration, wounds, infections, and heatstroke — are being rushed to Gau Seva Dham Hospital for immediate treatment.
Many of them are found collapsing on roads, crying in pain, gasping for water, and fighting for their lives under the open sky.
Every day, thousands of cows suffer from diseases, infections, starvation, and accidents, with little to no access to medical assistance. These gentle beings, who once served humanity in countless ways, are now left to suffer in silence.
At Gau Seva Dham, our dedicated team of veterinary doctors and volunteers is working tirelessly to save every possible life.
They are providing:
IV drips and glucose for rehydration
Fluid therapy and medicines
Shelter, food, and pain relief
24×7 compassionate monitoring
Yet, the increasing heat is overwhelming our open recovery spaces — and we need a permanent solution.
To protect cows from the burning heat and ensure dignified recovery, we are now building a fully air-cooled, climate-controlled ward within the hospital premises.
This dedicated ward will save lives — not just during this summer but for every heatwave in the future.
To build this ward, we urgently require:
10 High-Capacity Duct Coolers
4 HVLS Fans (High Volume, Low Speed)
50 UPVC Windows for thermal insulation
Clean, cool, hygienic recovery zones for resting and treatment
With this new setup, hundreds of Gaumatas will finally receive shade, cool air, and proper medical recovery during critical conditions. It’s not just a building — it’s a lifeline for those who cannot speak, but suffer silently.

In this unbearable summer, as temperatures rise beyond 45°C, countless injured cows are collapsing in pain — thirsty, wounded, and alone. With every moment that passes, a life is fighting to survive under the open sky. At Gau Seva Dham, we’re not just building a shelter — we’re creating a space of hope, healing, and dignity.
By joining this mission, you are not just donating — you are becoming their shade, their comfort, their lifeline.
Your compassion can turn suffering into relief, and despair into care.
Stand with us. Help build the air-cooled ward they so desperately need. Be the reason a Gaumata lives to see another day.
We will share recent updates and progress of this campaign here. Stay tuned for the latest developments and success stories.
