Construction of India’s First Multi-Storey Gau Hospital
Since 2013, Gau Seva Dham Hospital has treated over 40,000 cows, offering them care, shelter, and medical attention. Currently, our Hospital, spread across 5 acres, accommodates 300-400 cows at a time. However, with an increasing number of injured and sick cows requiring urgent treatment, our space is no longer sufficient.
To ensure no suffering cow is turned away, we are expanding! This new multi-storey hospital will allow us to provide Advanced veterinary treatment to thousands of cows and other needy animals. Animal welfare is as vital as human welfare—our lives are deeply connected with the animals around us. However, the growing needs of injured and sick animals require more than just goodwill; they demand infrastructure, expertise, and dedicated resources. While NGOs like Gau Seva Dham Hospital work tirelessly to provide medical care to animals in need, they require your support to expand their impact and create meaningful change.
To address this urgent need, Gau Seva Dham is building India’s first ultra-modern, multi-storey animal hospital, setting a new standard in veterinary care. The foundation for this six-storey hospital was laid in November 2023 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Manohar Lal, under the guidance of Devi Chitralekhaji.
For over 11 years, we have been dedicated to rescuing, treating, and rehabilitating animals. In that time, we have treated more than 40,000 animals, providing completely free medical care to injured cattle and stray animals, as well as free OPD services for farmers’ livestock. Now, with our existing shelter at full capacity, it is time to expand and save even more lives.
A Vision for a Better Tomorrow
The new multi-storey hospital will be a Advanced veterinary treatment facility equipped with:
✅ A dedicated ICU, cancer ward, and specialized treatment areas for blind cows, three-legged cows, and other animals.
✅ A modern operation theater, diagnostic lab, high-capacity X-ray machines, and a forklift for cows.
✅ A 5-acre campus with large treatment sheds housing 300-400 cows at a time.
✅ A highly trained staff of over 150+ professionals providing advanced medical care to thousands of animals.
Beyond Medical Care: A Holistic Approach to Animal Welfare
At Gau Seva Dham, our mission extends beyond treatment. We are committed to saving lives, preventing accidents, and empowering communities:
🐂 Rescuing Orphaned Cattle
Thousands of stray bulls and cows roaming the streets are transported to our shelters using modern ambulance vehicles, preventing road accidents and property damage.
🚗 Preventing Road Accidents
– Reflective tapes are applied to stray cattle to reduce night-time accidents.
– Injured animals are rescued and treated at Gau Seva Dham, while injured drivers/passengers are sent to human hospitals.
🐶 Supporting Dog Sterilization Programs
Controlling the stray dog population through sterilization to reduce rabies and dog bite incidents.
🚜 Providing Free Veterinary Care in Rural Areas
Door-to-door veterinary services for farmers, ensuring their cattle—a key source of livelihood—receive necessary care.
🌱 Promoting Organic Farming
– Educating farmers about chemical-free, sustainable agriculture, encouraging the use of vermicompost and earthworm compost.
📚 Training the Next Generation of Veterinary Experts
– Offering free, high-quality training to aspiring veterinary assistants (compounders), empowering them to save both livestock and wildlife.
🏥 Expanding Animal Shelters and Hospitals Nationwide
